One of the most important fields of activity of Research & Production Company «ERGA» is designing technical solutions for ore pretreatment, concentration, concentrate refining, etc. Long-term experience and cooperation with various companies and scientific institutions allows our company to design and successfully produce new types of magnetic separators and guard magnets for the above-mentioned applications.
High quality of ore pretreatment is achieved by dry magnetic separation, through extraction of ore's magnetic fraction and reducing losses of useful components in tailings (waste products), thus guaranteeing efficient usage of the raw materials.
Magnetic separators, traditionally used for ore pretreatment, are so-called guard magnets (SMB, SMBM, SMPR, SMPA models).
Pulley separators (SMB model) are driving pulleys with magnetic systems inside . Magnetic pulleys are installed instead of the conveyor's pulley, acting as a separator in the product's discharge zone.
Magnetic drum separator SMBM is designed for removal of ferrous metals from product flows. The gap between the product and the magnetic system of the SMBM separator is significantly smaller, than the one in the SMB separator, so there are no induction losses due to the thickness of the conveyer belt. Adjustable divider-knife, product distributing chute and other constructive features, together with a high-power magnetic system, guarantee high-quality regulable separation performance. SMBM separators show excellent separation results on many ore mining and processing enterprises and concentration plants, as well as on individual mining/processing factories.
Suspended magnetic separators SMPR & SMPA (manual cleaning system & self-cleaning correspondingly) are installed above the conveyor belt, 300 mm. above the product burden. Ferrous metals are removed from the product burden by a powerful long-range magnetic field, when the product passes under the separator. Extracted metals are either held on a separator's sliding plate until cleaning procedure (SMPR model), or are removed automatically (SMPA model). One of the main advantages of the SMPR model is that those separators do not consume electric power, making the model indispensable for heavy-duty industrial tasks, where fire and explosion safety is essential.
