Research ТВ Production Company «Erga» has designed and produced different types of magnetic separators and guard magnets for removal of tramp metals from non-metallic minerals.

In the process of processing (pounding, crushing, sizing) of non-metallic minerals, application of new generation of guar magnets is possible, i.e. magnetic pulleys (SMB model), installed instead of the original conveyor's pulley. Installation of a magnetic pulley into an existing technological line upgrades the conveyor into a magnetic separator without serious technical revisions.

It is also reasonable to use suspended magnetic separators SMPR & SMPA (manual cleaning system & self-cleaning correspondingly) are installed above the conveyor belt, 300 mm. above the product burden. Ferrous metals are removed from the product burden by a powerful long-range magnetic field, when the product passes under the separator. Extracted metals are either held on a separator's sliding plate until cleaning procedure (SMPR model), or are removed automatically (SMPA model). One of the main advantages of the SMPR model is that those separators do not consume electric power, making the model indispensable for heavy-duty industrial tasks, where fire and explosion safety is essential.

For extraction of weak-magnetic inclusions of various ferrous oxides from the product, it is recommended to use high-power roll separators (SMVI model). It is necessary to keep in mind, that strong-magnetic components should be extracted from the product flow before it is processed on by the SMVI separator (see chapter Ore pretreatment, improving quality of highly magnetic ore).
